How many people in Turin piazza? disinformation is overwhelming!

I quote this letter from Grillo’s newsletter. The letter is signed by Lorenzo F. and it makes me think of how we are deep into the process of disinformation in Italy…
“Dear Beppe,
I’ve seen you are being attacked by Italian press for V2Day instances, it was predictable though. Some use louder tones, some use a kind of irony, it seems they all agree on your “populist boutade” (as they say) for having sustained that there have been over 100.000 people in San Carlo Square in Turin. Every italian newspaper from Libero to Manifesto, hold against you saying that this piazza cannot contain more than 40.000 people. La Repubblica doesn’t mention 120.000 people you mention taking for granted that the partecipants were 40.000 of “young and very young people”.
Accidentally I’ve came through an old article on Republica on 1st May 2007 were they describe a manifestation in Turin “simbolic town chosen by the labor unions for the national manifestation ‘Italy restarts from work’ where the cavalcade arrived at San Carlo Square and the leaders spoke in front of 100.000 people.”
Interesting that Repubblica sustains that for the 1st of May of sCgil, Cisl e Uil (labor unions) there may be 100.000 people in San Carlo piazza, while for V2Day the capacity of piazza is limited to 40.000.”
UPDATE 29/04/2008
Today’s Beppe Grillo’s post evidences the above mentioned incoherence.
The funniest thing (??) about this clear manipulation of facts is that both pages mentioned at l’Unità online newspaper HAVE BEEN REMOVED from their servers!!! OMG, what a mistification! Bad for you, that WE HAVE already taken note of your falsity, dear pseudo-journalists!
